The immediate candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for Dekina/Bassa Federal Constituency, Usman Okai, has tasked Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, to return to Lokoja where he can attend to issues relating to the state.

He said Ododo should return instead of running up and down in Abuja lobbying people to intervene in the case between the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, former Governor Yahaya Bello, and his own ongoing tribunal case. Okai said since Ododo was declared governor, he had abandoned the Government House in Lokoja and is now permanently in Abuja since Bello's N84 billion fraud case with the EFCC.

He said: 'The governor has a legal team and his party has leadership, but mandating all those people that their movement is being sponsored by taxpayers in pursuing a hopeless court case in Abuja is a waste of our resources, and that shows the government has lost focus. 'The time where insecurity is everywhere and communal clashes are dominating, bandits and other communal killings in the nation, serious state Governors are in their state with their commissioners and local authorities.
