Kangaroos champion Jack Ziebell — who called time on his career yesterday in North Melbourne's loss to Richmond — spends the night in hospital after 'unprovoked attack'.
Retired North Melbourne star Jack Ziebell has spent the night in hospital, after he was attacked leaving a bar in Melbourne's inner south east, hours after playing his final game.
The club said in a statement that the former captain was at a South Yarra bar with a group of teammates and staff, before he was set upon by a group of men in an "unprovoked attack". The 32-year-old suffered injuries to his face and head. Victoria Police are investigating the incident.
