KAOHSIUNG, (Taiwan): Taiwan shut down on Wednesday (Oct 2) with hundreds of flights grounded and offices, schools and financial markets closed ahead of the arrival of a weakening Typhoon Krathon, which is forecast to bring storm surges along the coast and torrential rain.
Kuala Terengganu OCPD Asst Comm Azli Mohd Noor said the 65-year-old victim received a phone call on Aug 31 from an individual claiming to be an employee of Ampang Medical Centre.
"The suspect asked the victim to lodge a police report that her personal information had been misused. ACP Azli said the suspect then instructed the victim to transfer money amounting to RM201,900 from her hajj fund account to the newly opened Agro Bank account.
