KUALA LUMPUR, July 14 — A group of 35 individuals, comprising former members of the judiciary and seven widows of former judges have submitted a proposal to the government to settle the lawsuit over alleged failure by the government to fix an appropriate increase in the pension and benefits they received since 2015.
Lawyer Christopher Leong, representing the plaintiffs told High Court judge Datuk Wan Ahmad Farid Wan Salleh that his clients had written the proposal without prejudice to the Attorney General’s Chambers on July 1. Meanwhile, SFC Shamsul Bolhassan, who acted for the AGC, confirmed that the proposal had been received.
