NEW YORK (Reuters) - Outsized positions in artificial intelligence darling Nvidia have boosted portfolio managers' returns this year but the bets stand to magnify risk if the chipmaker's red-hot shares see a reversal of fortune.
MELAKA: A 22-year-old supervisor of a ‘yong tau foo’ restaurant claimed trial at the Sessions Court in Ayer Keroh here to 25 counts of criminal breach of trust involving sales proceeds amounting to over RM80,000.According to each of the charges read separately, the accused, as the supervisor of the eatery, was entrusted with funds totaling RM81,126.86 from sales but failed to remit the amount to the rightful owner.
All the offences were allegedly committed at the Tokmer Enterprise Branch in Jasin Bistari, Jasin district, between March 17 and June 19, 2024. The charges were framed under Section 408 of the Penal Code, which carries a jail term of up to 14 years and is also liable to whipping and fine, upon conviction.
