Low-income parents, as always, are bearing the brunt of the impact, while conservatives fan anti-trans flames around pregnancy and breastfeeding. But this formula shortage is far more than just a political flashpoint: It’s horrifying proof that widespread support for women and parents is still nearly nonexistent.
