Nationals Leader David Littleproud says representative bodies have previously failed to “close the gap” and the Voice referendum is likely to fail.
“We’ve been down this path before – representative bodies that have failed to close the gap,” Mr Littleproud told Sky News Australia.
“Hundreds of different communities have different challenges and opportunities that need to be fixed. “We should have ambitious goals about when and how do we close the gap, by what date and making sure we’re honest with ourselves about achieving that.”
