A shooting on BART disrupted service after one victim was hospitalized with minor injuries, and the suspect escaped.
Officials from Bay Area Rapid Transit Police said Saturday that one male was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries after a reported shooting incident on a Daly City-bound train that took place shortly after 1 p.m.
The incident, and the subsequent investigation, disrupted BART service through West Oakland for a portion of the afternoon as trains were single-tracked through that station, causing delays of about 30 minutes. In a recorded message, BART Police spokesperson Jim Allison said that there has been no arrest, and one male suspect is at large.
