KUALA LUMPUR, March 24 — Datuk Rohana Rozhan has returned US$10 million linked to the 1Malaysia Development Bhd sovereign wealth fund to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission .reported today a source as saying this happened last year after the MACC had completed its investigation.
“She has returned all the relevant money and assets to the MACC, which was then channelled to the government. Earlier yesterday, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said, in a written reply in Parliament, said that the Attorney General’s Chambers did not have the information on whether Rohana had returned the US$10 million to the government.
At the time, the MACC had frozen her bank accounts and assets as the commission was actively seeking to recover both money and assets from her.
