DENVER — The Denver Police Department tweeted Monday afternoon that officers responded to East High School after a report of a threat at the school.
Denver Public Schools said the threat pertained to an active shooter, but they are reporting there are no signs of an active shooter at the school and no injuries have been reported. Video from AirTracker7 shows students were evacuated to the school's football field. DPS is asking parents to go to the large statue in City Park.
Police said the school, located near Colfax and Josephine, is an active scene and more updates are forthcoming. DPS said police will continue to ensure the safety of staff and students.
