PETALING JAYA: Police action will not be pursued against a group of schoolmates who allegedly made rape threats against 17-year-old Ain Husniza Saiful Nizam, according to news portal Malay Mail.
Saiful Nizam Abdul Wahab, her father, was quoted as saying that the case will be recorded as a no further action by the police after the schoolmates and their families sought forgiveness from Ain’s family.
"So it is settled since they are underage, it was NFA-ed and we agreed to that, ” he was quoted as saying. Ain made headlines after she lodged a police report against a male teacher for allegedly making rape jokes in class, a move that sent shockwaves to the nation. Saiful also said he had attended a meeting with the school’s management, which included its Parent-Teacher Association chairman.
