KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 16 — Not only physical stalking but also repeated online stalking is a crime, according to the Penal Code Bill 2022 , said Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department , Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin.
“When A changed his or her phone number, B still contacted A on social media by changing various nicknames until there were up to 10 to 20 accounts just to ensure A will not have a peaceful life. “... if there isn’t a law that really protects the victims, I’m afraid that there will be more occurring, causing injuries ,” she said.
