"If we hadn't subpoenaed those bank records, we wouldn't have been able to ask about the $200,000 check to Joe Biden," Comer said, referring to bank records showing James and Sara Biden paid Joe Biden $200,000 in the form of a personal check in March 2018, with the check memo referring to a loan repayment.
But in the beginning, "no one thought we would ever get any bank records, much less their personal bank records," the congressman said. "Now we're trying to trace the money, and I don't think that the average American can understand how much money laundering was taking place here … we have all of this information now, so now we're ready to proceed, and you will see Bidens come in.
