Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla on Thursday said he has asked the National Bureau of Investigation to contact the family of Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) Senior Superintendent Ricardo Zulueta amid his continued silence.
“Yes, I’m asking the NBI to contact his family, so that they can know his whereabouts,” Remulla said in an ambush interview when asked if there are efforts to locate Zulueta.
Zulueta, one of the alleged masterminds behind the killing of broadcaster Percy Lapid and alleged middleman Jun Villamor, was said to have gone into hiding in early November.against him and suspended BuCor chief Gerald Bantag, among others.preliminary investigationLapid was shot dead in Las Piñas City on October 3 while Villamor died at the New Bilibid Prison. Meanwhile, when asked about opening the preliminary investigation to the public, Remulla said the respondents still have privacy rights. “Kasi may presumption of innocence.
