Rembia’s association with PAS could have consequences, says Melaka CM

KERALA, (India): A health worker accused of molesting a girl at Kozhikode Beach Hospital was on Friday (July 19) suspended from service pending investigation.

KUALA LUMPUR: Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh said Rembia assemblyman Datuk Muhammad Jailani Khamis , who left Umno to join PAS, may have to face repercussions for reneging an agreement he had signed to qualify as a candidate for the state elections in 2021.

Ab Rauf chose not to mention the quantum of the restitution, but it is understood that the sum is RM100mil. Ab Rauf said he will also leave any decision on Muhammad Jailani’s status as an assemblyman to the Speaker of the state legislative assembly. He also extended his appreciation to Muhammad Jailani for his service to Barisan Nasional and the unity government.
