(Reuters) - Apple's overseas suppliers have increased production of the company's new iPad models and plans to launch them in early May, Bloomberg News reported on Thursday citing people with knowledge of the matter.

KUALA LUMPUR: Improving the Sales and Service Tax was an immediate step that allowed the government to focus on existing approaches to increase revenue and strengthen the country’s fiscal position, says Finance Minister II Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan .By improving the current tax system, he is confident the government could overcome certain leakages, which would help it achieve its fiscal target.

He was replying to Datuk Syed Abu Hussin Hafiz Syed Abdul Fasal regarding the possible re-implementation of the Goods and Services Tax , reported Bernama. “The move to exclude services such as food and drink is progressive, which reduces the impact of tax increases on the cost of living of the people,” he added.
