An arrest of Donald Trump could strengthen the former US president’s case he is “victim number one of the political swamp”, according to Sky News host James Morrow.
Mr Trump announced he may be indicted on Tuesday regarding an ongoing investigation by Manhattan’s District Attorney Alvin L Bragg over a hush money payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels made prior to the 2016 presidential election.
“To make it all the more political, there are reportedly meetings being held with police, secret service, and other law enforcement agencies, including counter-terrorism squads, suggesting that this district attorney wants to do the full-on perp-walk route with a handcuffed Donald Trump being dragged into his courthouse,” Mr Morrow said.

Mr Morrow discussed the matter with University of Tennessee College of Law Professor Glenn Reynolds. “He’s … written or joined some controversial opinions in the Fifth Circuit Quarter of Appeals … having to do with trans rights and abortion and things like that,” Professor Reynolds told Mr Morrow. “But he was invited to speak and actually to talk about those and what drove those opinions – the sort of thing that people who want to be successful lawyers should want to learn regardless of what side they’re going to take on these issues. “Instead, there were about a hundred student protesters who came there and shouted him down.”

Biden’s bailout a step forward to ‘nationalisation’ of US banking systemThe move to essentially eliminate deposit insurance caps is not only a step to moral hazard but also the “road to nationalisation” of the United States banking system, says Sky News host James Morrow. Mr Morrow’s comments come after the Biden administration bailed out Silicon Valley bank amid financial turmoil. “The bank had allowed itself to become really, really exposed to interest rates,” he said. “Once you eliminate a bank’s risk, you can demand they do what you want as a premium for bailing them out.”
