One woman was stabbed to death and her 17-year-old daughter seriously injured in an apparent act of domestic violence in unincorporated Redwood City early Sunday morning, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s office.
The man, identified as Jose Uriarte-Martinez, was apprehended. Inside the home, deputies found the two female victims, both of whom had been stabbed multiple times. Deputies provided medical assistance and arranged for the women to be transferred to Stanford Hospital.The mother died of her injuries at the hospital. The daughter is now in stable condition.
