FORMER world title challenger Jeo Santisima broke the hearts of the Japanese fans after posting a fifth-round technical knockout win over veteran Hiroshige Osawa in a non-title featherweight bout on Sunday night at the Edion Arena in Osaka.

After being battered by foreign rivals the last time, the 26-year-old warrior from Masbate City rekindled his world title bid by pummeling his 37-year-old opponent’s body to bring him down in the third round. “I really needed this win, I want to prove to everyone that I’m not done yet,” Santisima told BusinessMirror via Internet call from Japan. “I’m coming for those who beat me before. This is a big win for me.”Santisima lost to American Joet Gonzales via a controversial ninth-round technical knockout decision last March 4 in Fresno, California.
