'Kids are growing up with this understanding that you can be whatever you want and you're not defined by your oppression or your gender or your color,' the 19-year-old said on the Juneteenth episode of 'Red Table Talk.'
On the topic of white supremacy, Jada posed the question of whether white people can be expected to dismantle white supremacy.
She also wondered whether it's a task best handled by younger generations. "Maybe it's the generations to come," Jada added. "When I look at Willow's generation, they have a different mindset.""We're not even sure, like, 'Am I a boy? Am I a girl?' It's like we're blurring the colors," Willow said."We're blurring the lines between gender. It's very blurred.
Davis said that she can see people are beginning to wake up, and some of that is thanks to the younger generation.Willow said that this is the first time she's seen such a large number of people"on the same page." And while that is inspiring, she expressed that it has taken too long to get there. "On one hand, that's really inspiring and gives me a lot of hope and on the other hand, it kind of feels like, 'Just now?'"she said."If we really want change, shaming doesn't lead to learning," she argued.
