Recep Tayyip mahu usir 10 duta barat keluar Turki - Utusan Digital

'Saya telah mengarahkan menteri luar mengisytiharkan 10 duta sebagai persona non grata secepat mungkin.'

ISTANBUL: Presiden Turki, Recep Tayyip Erdogan akan mengusir 10 duta dari negara barat kerana menuntut pembebasan aktivis masyarakat, Osman Kavala.

Tujuh duta terlibat berasal dari negara sekutu Pertubuhan Perjanjian Atlantik Utara , dan jika mereka diusir akan menyebabkan keretakan paling mendalam dengan barat sepanjang 19 tahun Recep Tayyip berkuasa. “Saya telah mengarahkan menteri luar mengisytiharkan 10 duta sebagai persona non grata secepat mungkin,” katanya.

Osman dipenjarakan sejak 2017 dan didakwa membiayai tunjuk perasaan di seluruh negara pada 2013 serta terlibat dalam rampasan kuasa 2016.Menurut Recep Tayyip, kesemua duta tersebut sepatutnya sudah memahami keadaan di negara Turki.Kesemua duta tersebut mengeluarkan kenyataan bersama Isnin lalu mengenai penahanan berterusan aktivis kelahiran Paris itu.

Duta dari Amerika Syarikat, Kanada, Denmark, Finland, Perancis, Belanda, New Zealand, Norway dan Sweden menuntut penyelesaian yang adil dan cepat berhubung kes tersebut.-AGENSI
