Realme has launched the Narzo 100x 5G in India featuring an 8,000mAh battery, 144Hz display, and MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset at a starting price of Rs. 20,999.
Realme has officially launched the Narzo 100x 5G in India, a smartphone that pushes boundaries in battery capacity and display smoothness. The most striking feature is its massive 8,000mAh battery, which Realme calls a Titan Battery.
According to the company, this battery can last up to three days on a single charge under typical usage, and it is designed to maintain over 80% of its original capacity even after four years, supporting 1,600 charge cycles. The device supports 45W fast charging, which can refill the large battery reasonably quickly.
Additionally, it offers 27W reverse wired charging, allowing users to charge other devices like earbuds or a friend's phone directly via a cable. A notable addition is bypass charging, which lets the phone draw power directly from the charger when gaming, reducing heat generation and preserving battery health. Despite the huge battery, the phone is just 8.8mm thick and weighs 224 grams, making it surprisingly manageable.
The display is a 6.8-inch HD+ LCD with a 144Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,200 nits, ensuring fluid animations and good outdoor visibility. However, the use of HD+ resolution is a compromise that may not satisfy users accustomed to sharper screens, especially in a segment where FHD+ displays are common. Under the hood, the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset handles everyday tasks and gaming, paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage.
Realme has incorporated a large 5,300mm² vapor chamber cooling system to keep temperatures in check during intense gaming sessions. The camera department features a 50-megapixel primary sensor on the rear and an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies. The phone runs Android 16 with Realme UI 7.0, which brings various customization features and optimizations. It also includes an AI Pulse Light on the back that blinks for notifications, adding a unique aesthetic.
The Narzo 100x 5G is rated IP65 for dust and water resistance, offering some protection against splashes. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.3, and the phone supports dual SIM with 5G. Pricing starts at Rs. 20,999 for the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, while the 6GB RAM variants are priced at Rs. 22,999 (128GB) and Rs. 24,999 (256GB). The phone comes in Midnight Black and Flash Orange colors.
With its focus on battery life and display smoothness, the Realme Narzo 100x 5G competes with devices like the Samsung Galaxy M35 and Poco X6 Neo. While the HD+ resolution might be a trade-off, the overall package of long battery life, high refresh rate, and solid performance at this price point is compelling for many users. The AI Pulse Light is customizable for different notifications, and the IP65 rating adds durability.
