Meadow Lake RCMP believe the series of assaults last Friday are gang\u002Drelated.
In a media release issued on Wednesday, RCMP said officers from the Meadow Lake detachment responded around 8:15 p.m. on Friday to a caller who said a man was banging on the door of a home while yelling that someone was going to shoot him. A vehicle then pulled up and a man got out and forced the other man inside before the vehicle pulled away.
A third call, this time at 8:30 p.m., reported an injured woman on the Flying Dust First Nation, located about two kilometres northeast of Meadow Lake. The second woman also had serious injuries, including two fingers cut off one hand.Meanwhile, investigators were able to identify a suspect vehicle in the first incident, the release stated. This led them to arrest two people on the Flying Dust First Nation. A third suspect is also in custody.
