Tiga bekas anggota Jemaah Menteri ketika pentadbiran Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad menegaskan, keputusan untuk tidak meneruskan semakan dan tafsiran Mahkamah Keadilan Antarabangsa (ICJ) mengenai kedaulatan Batu Puteh dibuat sendiri oleh bekas Perdana Menteri itu tanpa merujuk kepada Kabinet.
PETALING JAYA: Tiga bekas anggota Jemaah Menteri ketika pentadbiran Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad menegaskan, keputusan untuk tidak meneruskan semakan dan tafsiran Mahkamah Keadilan Antarabangsa mengenai kedaulatan Batu Puteh dibuat sendiri oleh bekas Perdana Menteri itu tanpa merujuk kepada Kabinet.
Dalam kenyataan itu juga, ketiga-tiga pemimpin tersebut menyatakan, keputusan tersebut hanya dimaklumkan kepada Jemaah Menteri dua hari kemudian dalam mesyuarat Kabinet pertama pada 23 Mei 2018 tetapi tidak dibincangkan untuk mendapat persetujuan bersama. Mereka turut meminta Dr. Mahathir agar bertanggungjawab sepenuhnya atas keputusan tersebut dan tidak meletakkan kesalahan kepada anggota Kabinet yang tidak terlibat.
