Whether Adam Frisch’s advantage over incumbent U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert holds up or not, the Aspen Democrat garnered far more votes in Tuesday’s midterm election than almost any political expert anticipated.
As of early Wedesday eveFrisch was ahead 50.01% to Boebert’s 49.99%, according to the Secretary of State’s Office. Just 73 votes separate the two candidates. If such a narrow margin holds, the results will trigger an automatic recount for the race. The state’s recount threshold sits at 0.5% of the leading candidate’s total votes, approximately 778 votes.
