have been decimated by injuries on both sides of the ball early this season. Injuries to key players on both offense and defense have impacted games, but it's been felt more on the offensive side of the ball.leading into the division matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers listed five offensive players, including offensive lineman Ronnie Stanley.
“We know what this game means to us as a franchise and as a team. No one takes it lightly. We’re trying to get as much firepower out there as possible,” Stanley told reporters.Stanley's participation would be welcomed considering Morgan Moses is also on the injury report and categorized as"doubtful" for the game. Both would be of great benefit inrush of the Steelers' Alex Highsmith and T.J. Watt, but having one back would be tremendous.
While Stanley has missed, fifth-year veteran Patrick Mekari has filled in at left tackle, while second-year pro Daniel Faalele has filled in nicely for Moses. “They’ve done a great job,” Stanley said. “Credit to Pat for his commitment to his technique and everything he’s done. There’s a lot of times he’s played at an All-Pro level. I’m just proud of everything he’s done.”“Definitely after the past couple of years, it’s always difficult to miss games, but it could always be worse.
