Rock Island Auction Company in Illinois is putting three Tiffany & Co. creations with military significance up for auction including two Civil War-era swords and a WWI naval aviator pin.

Rock Island Auction Company interactive production manager Joel Kolander shared the fine details of each item in an interview with Fox News Digital.

The sword belonging to Gettysburg Commander Maj. Gen. Daniel E. Sickles features golden artistry with intricate gilt and molding. The handle is crafted into a knight’s head with a detailed torso, while the cross guard has a lion’s head carved into it.The Civil War Excelsior Sword that is going up for auction is decorated in delicate Tiffany & Co. detail and embellished in gold. The rest of the inscription reads, "Presented to Gen. Sickles by his sincere friend.

The inscription 'Tiffany & Co. N.Y.' is etched into the base of the blade on Gen. Sickles' sword. The inscription in the officer's sword reads,"Presented to Lt. Colonel Manchester by his friends attached to the U.S. Marine Artillery." But perhaps the most fascinating feature is a small chip on the edge of the blade, which Kolander said confirms the sword was used in combat.
