The decision of the case involving a 24-year-old charged with two counts of raping his sister and committing carnal intercourse against her, has been postponed to another date.

The ruling at the end of defence case for the man was supposed to be on Friday but had been postponed.On the first count, the man is accused of raping his 10-year-old sister at a house in Kota Marudu in 2017. The offence under Section 376 of the Penal Code provides for a jail term of between eight and 30 years, and whipping at least 10 strokes of the cane, on conviction.

The prosecution had called seven witnesses during the hearing at the prosecution stage while nine witnesses had testified in the defence stage. The man was called to enter his defence on Apr 20, 2022 after the court ruled that the prosecution had established a prima facie case against the man.In another court, two men were sentenced to five years and ordered to get a stroke of the cane each for taking syabu, repeatedly.
