RapidKL has announced that they will soon begin installing women's coaches stickers and operational testing at MRT Putrajaya Line. The initiative aims to provide a more comfortable environment for women when travelling.
Last year, RapidKL announced on their social media that they have begun the process of installing the women’s coaches stickers and operational testing at MRT Kajang Line. This was part of the Transport Ministry's initiatives to provide a more comfortable environment for women when travelling as many do not feel safe during peak hours.
Although the women were happy about the installation, some (male) netizens slammed RapidKL for not prioritising the train frequency issues that have been going on. The process is expected to be completed by 30th March of this year. Just like the previous announcement, comments from women were mostly positive with many thanking them for giving a designated space to ensure their safety. However, there were also netizens who disagreed with this policy.
