The rookie impresses Coach Sean McVay with the way he competes. Tempers get a little hot during joint drills.
“I feel like it was something I needed to see,” Tomlinson said. “For me to be a young rookie into this league already and being able to see Davante Adams, it’s something good.”
“They’re going to make a couple plays, but I liked the way that he finished,” Coach Sean McVay said. “That’s why he was such a competitive, great player at TCU because of the competitiveness and his ability to be able to reset even if a play doesn’t go our way. That’s any great DB that I’ve been around.”It wouldn’t be an NFL joint practice with some tempers flaring, and Rams-Raiders was no exception.
Asked about the etiquette on that play, Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford quipped, “I’ve never gotten that far down the field, to be honest with you, so I’m not really sure what the rules are down there. I’m usually sliding way before that.” “Got it separated. It wasn’t an issue and we were able to get everything we wanted accomplished,” McVay said. “That was the important thing.”Offensive lineman Joseph Noteboom was limited to individual drills on Wednesday and will not be able to practice for the rest of the week as he deals with an undisclosed injury. McVay said he did not have further information on the nature of the injury.
