Ramaphosa moves SA from blaming Israel to criticising Hamas – while still demanding a free Palestine
for its attack on Israel, the latest in a series of slow developments in SA's reaction to the Gaza war.
"While international law recognises the right of the oppressed and people who defend themselves to use arms as a means of struggle and defence, that right must be exercised within the bounds of the Geneva Conventions," wrote Ramaphosa.
