“Penguatkuasaan ini dilaksanakan di bawah Seksyen 49 Enakmen Kesalahan Syariah Negeri Melaka 1991 kerana menjual makanan dan makan dalam bulan Ramadan. Beliau berkata demikian selepas Majlis Pelancaran Program Ihya Ramadan Peringkat Melaka 2024 yang disempurnakan Ketua Menteri Melaka Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh.
