With a galore of foods to choose from at Ramadan bazaars this year, most stall owners are finding new and innovative ways to create meals that will pique the
interest of potential customers. One Malaysian, however, decided to come up with a spooky name for one of his latest creations, that is taking people by storm.
Going all out in sharing this item with the public, it did seem to resemble that of a pocong, wrapped tightly in a piece of roti, and knotted on both ends. Taking it one step further, Yusri even created a life-sized pocong figure to display at the front of his stall, promoting the item with added flair.
“I originally thought of naming it Roti Mayat, but then I thought Pocong would be more suitable. It consists of smoked minced beef wrapped with egg and roti canai. We also melt cheddar cheese on it after it’s done,” explained Yusri to WORLD OF BUZZ.
