SEVERAL rallies will be staged on Thursday on the 51st anniversary of the declaration of Martial Law.
In a post on the Bantayog ng mga Bayani Foundation Inc.'s Facebook page, different sectors and organizations have announced their activities Sept. 21, 2023, which carries this year's theme 'Paggunita at Paglaban' . 'This is in commemoration of the 51st year since the imposition of martial law in the country by then Pres. Ferdinand Marcos, Sr.
,' the groups said. Among those involved in the press briefing announcing the rally on Tuesday were former 2022 presidential candidate Leody de Guzman and activist Satur Ocampo. The Bantayog ng mga Bayani, or the Monument to the Heroes, commemorates the victims of Martial Law from 1972 to 1986, and is located at the Sen. Jovito R. Salonga Building in Diliman, Quezon City.
