The shear line and northeast monsoon may bring rains over parts of the country in the next few days, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said on Monday, Jan. 30.
PAGASA weather specialist Obet Badrina said the effect of the shear line—the boundary between cold air from the northeast monsoon and warm air from the easterlies—may likely persist in Visayas and Mindanao until Wednesday, Feb. 1.
