Recently, a video just over a minute long of a man waving a knife while holding a woman at a headlock at a supermarket went viral along with the claim that this happened in Butterworth, Penang.Northern Seberang Perai district police chief Assistant Commissioner Anuar Abdul Rahman confirmed that the incident happened and said that the man seen in the video has since been arrested."We received a call about a woman being harassed by a man who was the victim's former boyfriend.
"She sustained injuries to her ring finger while struggling with him during the attack. The man was caught by the public during the incident and subsequently arrested," he said in a statement on Wednesday ."A case has been filed against the accused at the Butterworth Court on August 5. He is being investigated under Section 324 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt with a dangerous weapon," he said.
In the video, the man could be seen yelling at the public at a supermarket in Penang while holding a woman in a headlock with one arm and waving a knife around in his other hand.
