CALLS from government agencies tend to get taken seriously, especially when they're from an agency that, among other things, helps keep people safe online.

Recently, it has been claimed that scammers are impersonating CyberSecurity Malaysia officers in phone calls to people. Is this trueCyberSecurity Malaysia confirmed this in a Facebook post, in which it warned people receiving such calls to not disclose any information to people posing as officers of the agency.

It added that those receiving suspicious calls should contact CyberSecurity Malaysia directly to confirm the caller's identity.
