According to a post on its Facebook page, the police said that the claim was false.
Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department Deputy Director DCP Mohd Nasri Omar said investigations found that there were no pending summonses as claimed.He advised the public not to misuse social media or any communication network by issuing untrue and misleading statements as it was an offence that could be prosecuted under Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 for improper use of network facilities or network services.
On Tuesday , a TikTok user posted a video that went viral of a grey SUV and claimed that it had 397 outstanding summonses.
