George Town OCPD Asst Comm Abdul Rozak Muhammad said a 33-year-old man has been arrested after a woman filed a police report stating that a man flung a metal chain at her car windscreen.The complainant, a 36-year-old woman, was driving along Penang Road when she noticed a motorcyclist suddenly swinging a metal chain at her car windshield.The Criminal Investigation Division apprehended the suspect near Jalan Padang Tembak in Air Itam on the same day.
The man, a factory worker, tested negative for drugs but was found to have two prior criminal records. The case is being investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code for committing mischief and causing damage or loss.
