(Reuters) - George Eastham, a member of England's 1966 World Cup-winning squad, has died at 88, his former club Stoke City said on Friday.

He said that in the incident that took place at about 12.03am on Saturday , approximately 30 people were punching each other and throwing rubbish bins. "They also kicked at a train's doors. The chaos caused the train to stop for about eight minutes," he said when contacted on Saturday."The situation was brought under control when the train's doors were closed and the train managed to depart safely," added ACP Aidil.
ACP Aidil said police personnel along with auxiliary policemen managed to escort the fans from the station safely as well.Open Modal
