they trained to sniff out the coronavirus could identify samples that did and didn't have COVID-19 above 95 per cent accuracy.
Dogs alerted handlers to potential COVID-19 infection by sitting, and those students were then tested for antigens using lateral flow testing.In the lab, the dogs recorded accuracy above 95 per cent. Variables in the school testing - such as noise distractions, wind and smells - likely contributed to decreased sensitivity, researchers said.
