At least 16 families lost their homes in a fire that razed a residential area in Barangay Krus na Ligas, Quezon City yesterday morning.

The fire was first reported at around 9:30 a.m. and reached second alarm by 9:48 a.m., the Bureau of Fire Protection reported. The blaze was put out at past noon.

Arjay Pedreza, 32, suffered minor abrasions and burns on his leg while Keith Flores, 18, suffered second-degree burns on the legs and arm.
