Fresh polling suggests Queenslanders are no longer excited by the idea of hosting the 2032 Olympic Games and don’t trust the Palaszczuk government’s ability to keep it on budget.

YouGov polling found a 59 per cent majority of those in the state say they weren’t very excited about hosting the Games.

The Palaszczuk government has already admitted the knock down and rebuilding of The Gabba will cost $1.7 billion more than originally forecast.
