Queensland’s health sector is set to receive a major boost with more than 800 junior doctors will be deployed to hospitals across the state.

Another 200 paramedics will also come online in a bid to support emergency care in rural and metropolitan facilities.

The job boost comes after a backlash from health staff over reduced maternity services in regional hospitals.
