Nine townhouses have been opened in a secret location in inner-city Brisbane as a refuge for women and children escaping domestic violence situations.
"Everyone's pulled together, everyone's chucked in, either donating time or products," Sue Clarke told 9News. "The thought of women and children, running around and playing, feeling free and the women feeling safe, it melts my heart the thought of it."The refuge was built by the Clarke family in collaboration with Small Steps 4 Hannah and Beyond DV.
