China's coast guard said Sunday it took action against a Philippine vessel that ignored warnings and caused a light collision with its vessel in the disputed South China Sea, where confrontations between the two sides have increased.
KUALA LUMPUR: It is our duty to promote women’s rights to ensure they can effectively contribute to society, says Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah , Queen of Malaysia.
"Most of the time, when a woman leaves her job, it's often to care for a young child, an elderly parent, or family members with special needs. Very often, there is no extended family available to assist. This urgency becomes more pressing as the country's population ages rapidly, and the number of children with special needs, such as autism, cerebral palsy, and Down syndrome, continues to rise.
"Everyone should have access to basic necessities, and our children should have better opportunities than we ourselves have had. Those who cannot care for themselves must be cared for,” she said.
