Queen Maxima of the Netherlands attended a seminar discussing the joint future of Indonesia and the Netherlands wearing a gorgeous pheasant feather headband alongside simple pink midi dress and velvet heels.

But Queen Maxima has just stepped out in the most incredible hat that looks like a headband from the front - and we want to get our hands on it.
Joining her husband King Willem-Alexander for a seminar discussing the joint future of Indonesia and the Netherlands, the royal looked fabulous in the hat, which was covered in brown, orange and cream coloured pheasant feathers. Ensuring all eyes remained on her headdress, she paired it with a simple pink midi dress which featured long sleeves, a belted waist and an A-line skirt.
Maxima is known for her love of statement hair accessories, so it was only a matter of time before she stepped out with another show-stopping hat that has us scouring the shops. Some of the most memorable headbands she has worn in the past include the oversized leaf-shaped taupe fascinator she rocked during the opening of a new building of Unipro and the epic golden rope turban she donned to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the kingdom in the Netherlands.
She is not the first royal to wear feathers, but the likes of Kate Middleton and Sophie Wessex both opted for more pared-back versions. The Countess of Wessex joined the Queen for a Church service in Sandringham back in December wearing a tan fedora hat from Hicks and Brown, while the Duchess of Cambridge shortly followed suit by donning the blue version in January 2020.
