The brother of China’s Olympic diving queen Quan Hongchan has revealed that he has turned down US$28 million in contracts to focus on helping farmers. Quan Jinhua, who gained popularity for his livestreaming ecommerce business showcasing rural life, has received multiple offers from companies hoping to capitalize on his sister’s fame.
However, he has prioritized supporting farmers and declined lucrative contracts, emphasizing his commitment to his e-commerce platform that assists local villagers in selling agricultural products. Quan Jinhua, a former chef, returned to his rural village in Guangdong province after his parents’ health deteriorated. He began documenting village life and selling local fruits on short video platforms, eventually expanding into e-commerce livestreaming after his sister's Olympic success. He has since promoted various agricultural products nationwide, helping farmers sell substantial quantities of goods
