KOTA KINABALU: Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) will receive seven new dialysis machines under the SMJ Sabah Sejahtera health assistance scheme to support renal patients in the state.
KOTA KINABALU: Queen Elizabeth Hospital will receive seven new dialysis machines under the SMJ Sabah Sejahtera health assistance scheme to support renal patients in the state.
The initiative will benefit 48 end-stage renal failure patients and 617 individuals on continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis , with free haemodialysis treatment also offered for a year. Advertisement Announcing the move after Wednesday’s Cabinet meeting, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Environment Datuk Seri Christina Liew said this was part of the state’s broader efforts to enhance public healthcare access.
“This gesture reflects the state government’s commitment to improving hospital facilities and supporting those who cannot afford treatment, especially under the leadership of Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor,” she said.
