Around 100 families from different barangays affected by flood in Quezon City on Saturday evening, July 16, were rescued by members of the city’s disaster response team.
Members of the Quezon City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office and the Department of Public Order and Safety responded to assist the families from Barangays Tatalon, Dona Imelda, and Roxas who got trapped in their homes due to the flood.
San Diego said the flood, which reached around 10 feet, began when the water level in San Juan River rose due to heavy rains and affected the three barangays. The flood started to subside at around 10 p.m. and some of the families returned to their homes early Sunday morning, July 17.
